The hottest (and sexiest) new trend is boudoir photography, especially when it comes to that wedding day gift to your groom. Hint: It involves the bride wearing a lot less than her wedding gown. On your wedding day you will already feel your most beautiful so take advantage of that extra boost of self esteem, plus can you imagine the look on your groom’s face when he sees them. Yowza! Boudoir photos are usually taken wearing just a little or well, maybe just a veil. Think classic pinup inspired, classic and tasteful not X-rated, more that you’re not wearing anything, but your also not showing off anything either. These shot are taken from the back or while you are lying on your stomach.
Bridal Boudoir Photography takes place in the privacy of your home, bedroom, studio, or and place you choose and feel comfortable in. Make it playful or sultry, subtle or shy, or justt let it happen. When it comes to planning your wardrobe or lack there of talk to your photographer the most important part is to choose outfits that make you feel sexy. Corsets will create sexy curves, but in addition to lingerie, don’t forget jewelry, shoes, and most of all that engagement ring. Acessories that you wouldn’t normally think of may make the photos extra special for your special guy. Example if he is into football, just wear his favorite jersey and nothing else or if he is always playing his guitar, well then you play with his guitar in the photos. Hopefully these will give you some great ideas. Just remember while you are posing that you are doing this for the man you love, the man you intend to marry and spend the rest of your life with. If you can relax and go with the flow, you will be posing like a pro in no time.

I have saved one of my favorite shoots of 2009 as my last post of the year Last september I had the honor to photograph DomoAdami Wedding Gowns at the marvelous Grand Hotel des Borromees in Stresa, Italy. Thanks to my dear friends Franca and Valeria from Fiori di Miele for making this happen, and of course our gorgeous model, Eleonora Pellegrin, a true italian beauty. We hope to work with her again soon!

Last week my friend Ken Delbeek of Studio in Bloom came back to LightSky Studio to show us her newest flower collection. You may remember the beautiful bouquet we used for our destination photo shoot in Venice and her precious handmade creations I talked about just a few days ago. Brides who are planning destination weddings and wanna make sure to carry their favorite flowers down the isle no matter what season it is, they know they can count on Studio in Bloom!

Strolling the narrow streets of Venice… looking for some quiet spots for photographs after the ones taken in crowded Piazza San Marco. It wasn’t easy. It was Carnival in Venice and quite difficult to find deserted areas. We managed to find a few spots and our brave model Alessandra showed off her beautiful Oleg Cassini gown despite the cold winter air.

A super thanks goes to Ken Delbeek from Studio in Bloom, who prepared the beautiful rose and lilies bouquet for our destination shoot. It’s hard to believe, these flowers are made of a special kind of clay, and they are the perfect solution for destination weddings! And you can have your favorite flower in bloom all year around! Hello everyone! It’s good to be back home again. And bringing amazing memories back with me. Enjoy just a few images from our great bridal shoot in Venice, in the middle of one of the craziest days of all, Carnival weekend! Thanks to beautiful Alessandra we managed to create some room for these photographs in the middle of a packed Piazza San Marco! Winter is usually the time when girls start dreaming and planning their summer weddings… I am sure a romantic italian scenery is on many women’s minds… How about a Destination Wedding in Rome? If you are dreaming of an unforgettable setting in the Eternal City here is something to tickle your imagination…

For this photoshoot, my Roman bride had to wake up before sunrise to make sure we wouldn’t have too much of a crowd interfearing with her poses at the busy touristic sight of Castelsantangelo. In fact, at 6am the streets were still deserted and we just got the perfect warm sunrise light to shine on this brave bride.

In the afternoon, we stopped at Villa Borghese for few more clicks.
