This past weekend I had an amazing experience attending Raul Touzon Off Camera Flash Workshop. Touzon is a world known photographer who has been working for many years for National Geographic and since 2000 is teaching workshops all over the world. Not only he shared with us his technical knowledge combined with individual advice, but inspired tremendously all attendees with many adventurous stories of his work travels around the world. Relying so much on natural light for my Portrait and Wedding Photography, I found his class extremely beneficial and during our two trip fields around San Francisco, I could adventure in lighting territories not so familiar and I had so much fun using a portable flash unit to light my subject for a more environmental portraiture style. Once you know how to manage your flash, the possibilities are endless and very much inspiring! Here are my favorite experiments, helped by beautiful LeAnna.

Also inspiring was to see all the work of my fellow photographers and amateurs attending the class. We have spent two mornings critiquing each others work helped by Raul’s savvy eye.  Here’s one last shot with my fish eye (15mm lens), posing for me on of my colleague’s sons, Trey.

In one of the warmest San Francisco February days Stephanie and Robert made Crissy Field look more romantic then ever with these tender Engagement Pictures . I met this darling couple in Nov. 2009 when they attended their friends’ wedding I was photographing in Puerto Vallarta . I am so thrilled I’ll be soon photographing their wedding this coming summer!
