To the notes of “In love with you” by Erykah Badu enjoy Rita and Destah’s wedding slideshow.. this was the music from their first dance at the SiliconValley Capital Club in downtown San Jose.

This is Joe’s Family, one of our many  heroes serving US Military Forces in dangerous Afghanistan. He returned home for just a two weeks break to see his beloved family. We had a fun time at Stanford Campus this past week. The kids were so excited to have their dad back they could hardly refrain  themselves! But they were happy to pose so Joe could bring away with him some fun loving memories…

This summer I had a chance to photograph quite an unique wedding at the Botanical Garden of the Islands of Brissago at Lake Maggiore. The guests were transported (so were I and Ivan Natilla, a very talented Italian photographer who helped me on that day) by a small ferry to the island, among a number of  tourists that was quite intrigued with the activities. I posted a sneak peek of Noemie and Ernesto’s glamorous poses a few days ago and now I am ready to share more from their magic day…

I was so grateful to have so much time at disposal to photograph Noemie and Ernesto.. and although the wind didn’t allow us to shoot near the lake, the Botanical Gardens offered us quite an amazing alternative!

You surely remember Rita and Destah, who I had so much fun with during their hot engagement photo session at the Cliff House and Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco earlier this summer… Their wedding date finally arrived on Sept. 5th 2010! Here are a few of my favorites from their San Jose wedding at the Silicon Valley Capital Club. Rita got ready at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel surrounded by her sisters and nieces.

When I meet with couples for wedding consultation I always emphasize how important are engagement photo shoots… To me it’s a way to find out more about the bride and groom personalities, to learn about how they interact as a couple.. it makes my job way easier on the wedding day. I asked Elaine and Alex what they like to do in their free time, and they took me to their favorite beach in Capitola. A familiar  place helps the couple to be more relaxed and at ease… you actually will think this wasn’t Elaine and Alex first time in front of a professional camera looking at these fun images. Alex’s kept Elaine smiling with his loving attention.

After the colorful pictures in Capitola, we ended our photo shoot in Santa Cruz, but first  we stopped at Donnelly where Alex treated us girls to a chocolate break. It is Elaine’s favorite Chocolate Store, and now, mine too!

Thank you guys for the fun afternoon, my first time shooting in the Capitola/Santa Cruz area. I love discover new shooting location, my creative juices run wild!

And thank you for treating me to dinner after our photo shoot, loved the food at Xanh in Mountain View. A day full of first times! Looking forward to your wedding in November…

I usually see Kathy every year, a couple of months before Christmas, to photograph her beautiful daughter. But a few weeks back, we met in Stanford Campus since Kathy needed some head-shots to promote her new play Sultan’s Battery, premiering in Los Angeles on September 24th. If you happen to be in LA, make sure you check it out. I hope the play will perform also in San Francisco Bay Area very soon! Here are my favorite images from our Stanford afternoon.

This is just a taste of what I have been up to during my latest trip to Italy. The little Islands of Brissago on Lake Maggiore host a Botanical Garden and are just a  photographic treasure for wedding photography. So, instead of Lake views, I got mostly inspired by other plants and scenery… and brave Noemie and Ernesto indulged me

In the peaceful and green surroundings of the Stonetree Golf Club in Novato, Lindsay and Lukas celebrated their wedding, just after welcoming their first child, Valentina, born a few weeks prior the wedding. You may remember the romantic e-session photos of the couple a few months back at the Presidio and Baker Beach in San Francisco…

Valentina is such a good girl, Lindsay tells me she sleeps all night, and at the wedding is was just so happy… everyone wanted to hold her.

Lindsay is showing off her after/pregnancy stunning figure in her sexy wedding gown! Her glamorous make up is by Yas Artistry.

The beautiful terrace at the StoneTree Golf Club hosted the ceremony.

I have to say I have rarely seen so many beautiful people all together attending a wedding! You will get a better idea when I will share Lindsay and Lukas slideshow! Many of Lukas friends came from Czech Republic (I was longing to do a “we did it” session in Prague with Lindsay and Lukas in September but my work schedule didn’t allow me to stay in Europe longer, sigh!) and part of Lindsay family is Italian.

Shana Goldberg of Dee Merz Event Planning supervised the ceremony and reception and made sure everything would run smoothly. She was a pleasure to work with, I thank her also for making sure me and Nellie Guerrero had our dinner at the right time…which is rarely the case when shooting weddings Catering for the Event was Elaine Bell Catering.

It was also my second time working with Nellie, always fun to be around, I love her work and look forward to see her takes.
