More from Studio in Bloom

This week I paid a visit to my friend Ken Delbeek from Studio in Bloom that graciously sponsored our Venice shoot with her beautiful clay flowers. That bouquet survived two overseas trips and it’s still looking brand new!!! Brides who plan destination weddings (and not only!) should really have a talk with Ken :) Ken offers many more beautiful ideas for weddings and parties so I decided to  bring my new Mark II 5D along  with me to take more photos of her amazing work. I love shooting still life! I shot everything in natural light in Ken’s livingroom, using high ISO settings. Take a look at these adorable photo or placemat clip holders!

Another great idea for wedding keepsakes: order clay bridesmaid bouquets and have them keep it as a memory of your wedding day…

And here’s a collection of different boutoniers that can also become wonderful keepsakes for your parents and wedding party.

Next week Ken is coming to LightSky Studios and we are gonna photograph her beautiful bouquets which will be showcased on her new website ready by late April … stay tuned for more pictures on this blog very soon!

A jump in the past…Venice Carnival 2009

Filed under: Portraits — admin @ 7:12 pm

I think it was the first year that I have experienced Carnival time in Venice. Let me tell you, I was really missing out. The richness of the customes strolling the unique streets of Venice were breathtaking! You notice such attention to details and such grace in wearing these gowns that make you really feel like you stepped into the past for an afternoon. My dear friend Franca and her daughter Alessandra are posing with their magnificent customes. We had so much fun during the shoot that I totally forgot about my jet lag.. LOL!!!

More from Venice…

Strolling the narrow streets of Venice… looking for some quiet spots for photographs after the ones taken in crowded Piazza San Marco. It wasn’t easy. It was Carnival in Venice and quite difficult to find deserted areas. We managed to find a few spots and our brave model Alessandra showed off her beautiful Oleg Cassini gown despite the cold winter air.

A super thanks goes to Ken Delbeek from Studio in Bloom, who prepared the beautiful rose and lilies bouquet for our destination shoot. It’s hard to believe, these flowers are made of a special kind of clay, and they are the perfect solution for destination weddings! And you can have your favorite flower in bloom all year around! Not only, you get to keep it for life! Talk about making your money worth :)
